Payton Rector is an amazing young performer that entertains the crowd with her beautiful voice and captivating personality. To date she has over 200 live performances under her belt.
At age 9, she became the 2007 BC Junior Talent Search Champion for the 7-12 age category and followed that up in the same year as the Broadway Idol Winner.
In 2008 among many community festivals she competed in a local competition in her backyard of South Surrey/White Rock and was crowned the Diamond In The Rough Live Performance Winner.
2009 brought another year of numerous performances and two more competitions in which Payton won…..the Surrey City Jams Event – Pre-teen Winner and the Willowbrook Mall’s Two Minutes of Fame Competition.
Besides competitions some highlight performances for Payton include performing at the 2010 Olympics on the Richmond Ozone stage, at the 2009 BC Country Music Association Industry Awards, Merritt Mountain Music Festival in 2008, 2009 and 2011, and opening for Brian McKnight at the Orpheum Theatre in December 2010.
Payton has spent some time in the recording studio as well, working with DCM in North Vancouver, Hipjoint and Mosquito Hawk in Vancouver, Turtle Studios in White Rock and RKB Productions in Surrey to record some favorite cover tunes. Payton also sings the Canadian and US anthems at many festivals and regularly for the Surrey Eagles, Langley Rivermen and Langley Thunder and has also sang for the Aldergrove Kodiaks, UBC Thuderbirds and Vancouver Giants.
